The Legal Channel is a 24/7 television and digital network dedicated to legal and judicial news, analysis, and education. We broadcast original shows (talk shows, documentaries, interviews, panel discussions) and provide up-to-date news on legal matters. Our content is also available online through our website and streaming app, so you can watch or read anytime.
The channel is for everyone – not just lawyers or law students! While legal professionals will find value in our in-depth analysis, we specifically design our programs to be accessible to viewers without a legal background. Whether you’re seeking information to help with a personal legal issue, want to better understand the news, or have a general interest in how the justice system works, the Legal Channel is for you.
We do not provide individual legal representation. The Legal Channel is a news and educational platform, so while we offer general legal information and even guide you on where to find help, our content isn’t a substitute for personalized legal advice. If you need an attorney, we often direct viewers to qualified legal aid organizations or referral services through our Community Legal Clinics and website resources.
You can watch our live TV broadcast on our website or via our official Legal Channel app (available on iOS, Android, Roku, and other smart TV devices). We also partner with select cable and streaming services to carry our channel – check your local listings for availability. Additionally, all our show episodes and news clips are available on-demand on our website. If you prefer audio, many of our shows are released as podcasts as well.
The majority of our content is free to access because we believe legal knowledge should be available to all. Our channel is supported by sponsorships and partnerships (and we clearly disclose sponsored segments). Some special events or extended workshops might require a free registration or have limited paid access if they offer professional credit (like CLE seminars), but we will always inform viewers ahead of time.
We love hearing from our audience. If you have a legal question you’d like answered on Know Your Rights or an issue you think we should investigate, you can send it to us via our website contact form or through our social media channels. We can’t respond to every question individually, but we do read them all. Your suggestion just might inspire our next segment!
There are many ways to get involved. You can Join our community (see the next section) to get newsletters and event invites. If you’re a legal professional or journalist who wants to contribute, check out the Opportunities page for career openings or freelance contributions. And of course, you can participate in our live Q&A sessions and workshops – we announce those on air and on our site regularly.
If you have any other questions not covered here, feel free to reach out to our support team via the contact page. We’re here to help, and we value your curiosity and engagement.
